Owner & Licensed Massage Therapist

I have lived in the Greater Portland area all of my life, and for decades prior to becoming a massage therapist, I was in marketing and communications in "corporate America". I graduated from the Holistic Massage Therapy program at Spa Tech Institute in Westbrook, Maine,  After graduating, I began work at Portland Massage Company and received advanced training in clinical techniques with MaryAnn Butts, LMT, and Owner.

Life took me on a journey from Cumberland County to Aroostook County the summer after I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2015, where I began my own practice at Shallie's Place in Mars Hill. In January 2017, I opened my second space at Modern Beauty in Houlton, and by July 2017 - between the two locations -  had created a full time practice in the County. A sudden change of circumstances in my own life brought me back home to southern Maine where I shared practice space at Spiritual Renaissance Center in South Portland, and in 2018 started my Cornish practice at Mind Body Soul Holistic Wellness Center. After Mind Body Soul closed its doors in December of 2018, I moved to Parkview Salon in Cornish, where I met even more fabulous people in the community and on July 1, 2019, I opened up my own holistic healing center in Cornish, Maine called The Sacred Self A Center for Healing for the Mind Body + Soul.  We are located at 172 Main Street in Cornish, Maine.

I am passionate about sharing the healing power of touch through providing massage reflexology and polarity therapy; and to raise awareness of the extraordinary benefits of massage - the very REAL physical and emotional changes - that take place when you have regular, skilled bodywork. I am passionate because it's MY story. Massage therapy changed my entire life. From an economic standpoint, having regular massage therapy sessions is an extremely cost-effective means of preventive health care, which is critical in this time of skyrocketing healthcare costs. Compare the cost of my 75-minute session fee of $75 where you leave feeling instantly better; then, add up how much your last 15-minute chronic pain doctors visits were, how much the prescriptions were, and how much relief you actually got...I have to say, it's a pretty good return on investment into yourself.

My modalities include Myofascial, Polarity, Trigger Point, Reflexology, Neuromuscular, Swedish, Stretching, Range of Motion, and during non-pandemic times....On-site Corporate/Event Massage.
