A paraffin wax hand dip treatment which is deeply moisturizing, is designed to nourish and rejuvenate dry, chapped, and tired hands. This therapeutic and relaxing service provides instant relief and long-lasting hydration, leaving your skin feeling incredibly soft, smooth, and supple. Duration: Approximately 15-20 minutes. Only available as an add-on to a 30/60/90 minute massage or reflexology service. The wax takes awhile to heat up, so wax treatments are not typically available for early morning appointments. ---------- What is a Paraffin Wax Hand Dip? Paraffin is a colorless, odorless, and solid wax derived from petroleum. When heated, it becomes a liquid with a low melting point, making it safe and effective for therapeutic use on the skin. A paraffin wax hand dip involves immersing your hands multiple times into a warm bath of melted paraffin wax. As the wax hardens, it creates a gentle, insulated barrier that traps heat and moisture, allowing the skin to absorb the maximum benefits of the treatment. After washing your hands, you will gently dip your hands, one at a time, into the warm, soothing paraffin wax. This process is repeated 3-5 times to build up a thick, multi-layered "glove" of wax. Your hands are then wrapped in a plastic liner and placed in insulated mitts. This step helps to retain the heat and moisture, allowing the therapeutic properties of the wax to penetrate deeply into the skin. After approximately 10-15 minutes, the hardened wax is gently peeled away, taking with it impurities and dead skin cells, revealing incredibly soft and radiant skin.
